Airmanship이란 무엇일까?
조종사로서 알아야 할 중요한 덕목이지만 그냥 막연한 느낌으로만 알고 있는 것이 사실이다.
보다 깊이있게 알아보자.

어학사전에 찾아보면 단순히 "비행술"정도로만 해석된다.
아직 감이오지 않는다.
비행에 많은 부분들이 과거의 항해술에서 유래한 것들이 많다.
Airmanship역시도 Seamanship에서 유래하였다. 항해사들에게 요구되는 광범위한 지식과 기술들을 의미하는데서 유래하였다.
FAA에서 의미하는 Airmanship은 크게 3가지로 나누어서 생각할 수 있다.
1. A sound acquantinace with the priciples of the flight : 비행의 원칙에 대한 올바른 이해
2. The abilitiy to operate an airplane with competence and precision both on the ground and in the air
: 지상과 공중에서 정확하게 비행기를 운영하는 능력
3. The exercise of sound Judgement that results in optimal operational safety and efficiency
: 최적의 운영상 안전과 효율성을 달성하기 위한 올바른 판단
요약하자면 knowledge Skills and Attitudes.
